CANADA—Thirty-two members and teens from the Milton and London, Ontario, congregations gathered on May 17 to hike the Niagara Escarpment. The hike started at Rattlesnake Point, a section of the Niagara Escarpment which gets its name from the snake-like path cut by the cliff face.

Teen activity coordinator Elvis Sankar announced that the group was embarking on a journey where they would see “lush tree canopy, boldfaced cliffs, hidden caves and glacial deposits.”

The group hit the trail to immerse themselves in nature. Teens trekked ahead with energy and excitement.

“I love the adventure too, as well as scouting out the dark caves, making sure it is safe for the rest to follow after,” local teen Daniel DiSanto said.

“What a wonderful place to be in, with just perfect weather,” member Dave Robinson said after the trek, as he stood on a cliff overlooking Lake Ontario.

The journey led to a packed lunch and rest and conversation, while teens expended more energy with games of catch and badminton.

“The day was nice from the beginning to the end,” 9-year-old Seven Fuller said.

After the activity officially ended, more than a dozen enthusiasts hiked for another two hours to explore more caves and discover more views from the escarpment’s cliffs.
