CANADA—On July 20, twenty-nine members from the London and Milton, Ontario, congregations shared their annual summer social on July 20 at Roth Park in Woodstock. Visiting minister from Calgary, Alberta, Chris McKay, and his wife attended the event.

Members participated in volleyball, Frisbee golf, crokinole, beanbag toss, darts and board games, occasionally taking breaks to sit in the summer sun and take in the view of Pittock Lake, which was bustling with activity.

“The location was beautiful—it would be hard to find a better one for this activity,” Bernard McKay said.

The members enjoyed a bring-your-own picnic lunch, but also provided for each other with a table of snacks and desserts for everyone to share.

“It was the most fabulous, fun-filled family picnic I’ve ever been to,” London teen Summer Fuller said. “My favorite game was Frisbee golf. It’s always fun to play a good game with the people you love.”

A sudden downpour in the early afternoon halted the games but also brought a respite from the summer heat. Everyone gathered under the pavilion, where they chatted until the sun was shining again.
