Ambassadors of Entertainment
The Philadelphia Church of God sponsors the Young Ambassadors, a 14-member singing and dancing group that performs a wide variety of music, from jazz hits to popular ballads to Disney favorites. Its wholesome, family-friendly programs appeal to audiences of all ages.
The Young Ambassadors function as an outreach of Herbert W. Armstrong College. All members of the group are full-time college students; their rehearsals are part of the Herbert W. Armstrong College curriculum under the direction of the music department.
The show choir performs at community festivals, elementary schools and other local venues, as well as concerts on campus. It produces a film each year, shown at the church’s annual fall festival, at approximately 20 sites around the world.
The Young Ambassadors represent the international flair enjoyed by the AC student body, with members from five continents and from all across the United States having performed with the group.
Song and dance numbers recorded by the group include “Route 66,” “Ragtime,” “Sunny Side of the Street,” “It’s a Grand Night for Singing,” “What a Wonderful World,” “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” a Filipino martial arts stick dance, and original work. The Young Ambassadors have performed at various area schools as well as the Edmond Women’s Club, in Edmond’s LibertyFest parade and at Oklahoma City’s AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
We encourage you to enjoy the group’s uplifting style of entertainment on our Young Ambassadors media page, where you can watch videos, hear performances, see photographs and read biographies of current members.
