CANADA—More than 80 members from the Milton and London congregations joined together on February 15 for an entertainment night to “complete the book of Acts with culture.”

“This is a celebration of God’s rich, happy, family culture throughout the ages, and we are writing our own history for that book,” master of ceremonies Elvis Sankar said in his opening remarks.

Brethren reacted with surprise and delight to the performers, who played a wide variety of musical instruments, including a drum set, piano, violin, pan flute, bongos and the guitar.

“Wow, the talent in God’s Church is radiant and motivates you to strive to try,” Tammy Salinas said.

The show also featured many original pieces put together by teens and youths, including a pan flute solo by teen Savannah Fuller, a piano and vocal solo by teen Chrissie Dattolo, and a piano piece by youth Caleb McCullough.

“I particularly loved all the variety. I have never been to an entertainment night with so many different type of acts,” Mrs. Janet Dattolo said.

After a 15-minute break, the lights were turned down for the premiere of the 2013 Family Album, a look back at Milton activities from the previous year, including photos and video of brethren from across Canada. Put together by Laskey Hart and deacon Dan Gauvreau, the album will be sold to Canadian brethren as a fundraiser.
