True Education is for youth of all ages.
The Missing Dimension in Education
The PCG publishes True Education, a magazine for Church teens and youth of all ages. Born in 1999, the magazine features articles on the things in life that are most important to teens: friends, sports, academics, making money, having fun—from a dynamic biblical point of view.
True Education goes much deeper than the average teen magazine, taking a fresh, factual, fun approach to the teenage life, based on God’s instruction book for people of all ages—the Holy Bible.
Topics in the magazine range from “Acing Your Interview” to “Deepen Your Friendships.” Article titles have included “Principles of Healthful Living,” “What Is Real Beauty?”, “The Key to Getting Along With Your Parents,” “Are You an Underachiever?”, “The Best Sport I Almost Hated,” “How to Break Bad Habits,” “Are you Materialistic?”, “The World’s Weirdest Birds” and others.
Sections include lessons from history, what it’s like to be a teen in various places and cultures, reader by-lines, question and answer, essays and more.
True Education is not only unique in its content, but also unique in its staff. Herbert W. Armstrong College students help write, edit and design the magazine under editorial department direction. Some graphic designs come directly from the college’s layout class. In addition, articles are submitted by True Education readers from around the world via the True Education Writer’s Club.
By basing the magazine’s core mission and its feature articles on the needs of the youth in the church and what the Bible says, TE offers just what its title promises: true education.
In 2007, the magazine began a migration from being a quarterly magazine offered to all who requested it to being a bimonthly magazine for youths attending the PCG. True Education went online in March 2008 and now provides constantly updated content to PCG youth around the world.
