Appearing in Person
The Philadelphia Trumpet presents Gerald Flurry in a series of personal appearance campaigns held across the United States. The campaigns offer Trumpet subscribers the opportunity to hear the message live and in person from the magazine’s editor in chief and pastor general of the Philadelphia Church of God.
The personal appearance series, which first began in early 1999, is modeled after those presented by Herbert W. Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong’s speaking engagements attracted large and distinguished audiences from California to Greece to the Philippines, and beyond.
Campaigns featuring Gerald Flurry have taken place in cities throughout the United States. International campaigns, presented by other ordained ministers, have taken place in the Philippines and Australia.
Each campaign features two evenings of live presentations delivered by Gerald Flurry. Trumpet subscribers are directly invited to campaigns in their area via a special invitation letter written by Mr. Flurry, and may request up to four tickets for themselves and their guests. Admission to the event is free.
Following the campaign’s live presentation, guests browse through free literature in the form of books and booklets that supplement the Trumpet and campaign message in greater detail. Guests are able to leaf through a sample library and order free copies of the literature in which they are most interested. They may also sign up for no-obligation follow-up Bible studies held in the same area as the campaign to learn more about world events and what the Bible says about them.
Guests also enjoy the opportunity to meet personally with Gerald Flurry after he delivers his presentation, asking questions and learning more about the campaign message.
Through personal appearance campaigns, Mr. Flurry prophesies again in the tradition of Herbert W. Armstrong, delivering God’s final watchman warning to the world. Fulfilling the inspiring commission Jesus Christ gave to his disciples in Matthew 10:23, these campaigns deliver live not only the sobering warning of what is about to strike our society, but also the exciting, hope-filled event that lies just beyond: the coming of the “Son of man.”
