Minnesota Mothers and Daughters Enjoy Afternoon Tea
Edstone campus inspires British-themed activity.

MINNESOTA—Seven women and girls from the Philadelphia Church of God Minnesota congregation, inspired by the new Edstone campus, sipped tea and sampled snacks at an English “afternoon tea” party on May 3 at the residence of Deadra Taylor in south St. Paul.

The event started with an arts and crafts project; each participant decorated her own bonnet, using assorted flowers and ribbons, to wear during the tea party. The girls also decorated purses to match their bonnets.

Sofia Kaleho, one of the youngest in attendance, said, “I wish this day would never end!”

After the girls dressed up in jewelry and special outfits, the ladies and girls sat down to enjoy the tea party.

“It was especially fun watching the children and seeing their expressions,” member Kristy Pepin said.

Youth Katelyn Aldrich said, “It was the best tea party ever!”
