Are You Ready for Refugees?
Prepare to teach tomorrow’s world—today.

While we were sitting in services during the Feast of Tabernacles this past year, learning about the wonderful World Tomorrow and what it will be like, residents in the cities and towns of Germany heard train whistles blow as 1 million refugees flooded into Europe’s leading country.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel proclaimed to the refugees that they were welcome and that her country could handle the massive influx. Pope Francis also declared the need for Germany to take the lead and told other European nations that they should follow in opening their homes and hearts to these desperate migrants.

Many of the refugees are infants, youths and teenagers just like you. They have fled their war-torn, terrorized homelands in the Middle East and North Africa to find a place of safety—a better tomorrow. They hope to find that in Germany.

However, that is not what has happened. Merkel’s political allies, the media and the public have called with a collective voice to limit the flow of refugees. There are so many desperate refugees who want to go to Germany in search of a better life, but Germany simply can’t handle all of them.

Germany is faced with deporting those who do not qualify for asylum, documenting those who do, and attempting to integrate these people into the native German culture, language and society. But oil and water don’t mix—and Germany has quite a task on its hands if it wants to integrate a large number of strongly Muslim immigrants into a society compromised mostly of Catholics and Protestants. Particularly with the legitimate European fears of potential terrorists traveling in with real migrants.

The ongoing Syrian refugee crisis has a part in fulfilling end-time prophecy. Do you know those prophecies—and can you apply them to the current events that you see in the world today?

Do you thoroughly understand the significance of these events? This is something you must be able to do as teens in God’s Church.

Pastor General Gerald Flurry spoke at the Feast about the need for future global leaders rooted in sound foreign policy. He mentioned that our teens need to watch current events and study the prophecies that apply to those events—because you are those leaders of the future. Mr. Flurry also talked about the rarity of true patriotism based on the Constitution—the kind our Founding Fathers once had. However, Mr. Flurry added, “Our patriotism is to God’s Work!” We are spiritual citizens of another country (Hebrews 11:13-16).

God inspired the Apostle Peter to remind His people of their true nationhood: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy” (1 Peter 2:9-10). We live in the countries of this world, but we are the people of God.

Mr. Flurry likened the current scene of world chaos to a hurricane you can see building out at sea before it rolls across the landmass. We should be able to recognize God’s prophecies coming to pass in world events. We should be able to see the storm clouds building on the horizon and recognize the destructive hurricane that is coming. Can you? Mr. Flurry said that our teens need to be experts at understanding Bible prophecy.

Do you desire to be a true spiritual patriot—an expert in Bible prophecy? You need a fundamental understanding of geography, world leaders, current affairs and, most importantly, the biblical prophecies revealed by God and expounded on by His apostles. Don’t make the excuse: “I’m just a kid. I don’t even have the Holy Spirit. I don’t need to know this stuff yet.” You have been set apart for a holy purpose by God, and His Spirit is working with you (1 Corinthians 7:14). That makes you special—and it means that God expects more from you than He expects from your friends in the world (Luke 12:48).

Only God’s true Church can understand how present-day world events will unfold in the future. As the Apostle Peter wrote, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy …” (2 Peter 1:19). We have the opportunity to see the future before it happens. In order to do this, you will need to be a teen who strives to know the former spiritual rain—what God revealed to His end-time Elijah, which the pcg fought for and won in a desperate court battle—along with the latter rain—the information revealed to God’s prophet and apostle in this final Church era (James 5:7).

You must eat up and digest Malachi’s Message to become truly successful. Please study Malachi’s Message to be reminded of the reason why you, through your parents, were called to this understanding, and why the Elijah work continues today. The pages of Malachi’s Message contain the only eternal hope for all mankind—a hope that you are privileged to know now, while the rest of the world is ignorant of it.

This hope of the gospel—the good news of the coming Kingdom of God—reveals the soon-coming end of this age of man, and the ushering in of the utopian World Tomorrow (Matthew 24:14). The Vatican, Germany and Europe do not offer such a message of hope to the millions of refugees flooding across their borders.

Yet God offers His divine solution!

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever” (Daniel 2:44). This is the very moment that God is preparing you for right now. He wants you to teach His message of hope to millions from the world capital of Jerusalem.

Understand: The refugees from the worst time of suffering in mankind’s history will be seeking a healing message in just a few short years. These war-torn, physically and emotionally scarred refugees will need tender care. They will need to be given true hope, and they will be looking to you for that hope.

Take the time to read Micah 4:1-7. These verses describes the positive and hope-filled events that will happen in the near future. It is about the wonderful world that you will help administer. These events are real—they will happen, and very soon.

But even when the World Tomorrow comes, your job will not be finished. You will help teach the refugees from the Great Tribulation how to live the prosperous, happy and abundant way of life. People will hear God’s Word through you in their ears declaring, “This is the way, walk ye in it” (Isaiah 30:21). The supreme law of outflowing concern for the good and welfare of others will be forever established. For Earth’s citizens, God’s law of love will become the new way of life.

You will wipe away their tears. You will comfort them. You will encourage and teach them. They will have found their true place of safety—a new world of prosperity and peace. The tree of life will be open to them and the vast majority will respond to God’s call. Christ’s Bride will aid Him in their counseling, baptism, education, marriage and family instruction. The Kingdom of God will eternally expand.

This is why you were born, why you are in the Philadelphia Church of God—this is your future. The events happening in the world today herald this time. Take the time to pay attention to these events and learn the prophecies that apply to them. Your future and that of millions of others depend on it.
