College Students Bring ‘Extra Enthusiasm’ to Wichita Congregation
Herbert W. Armstrong College sponsors Sabbath outreach to Kansas.

KANSAS—Herbert W. Armstrong College students Jack Wood, Cariña Carbonell, Brianna Weeks, Ariana Eames, Andy Inojales, Stephanie Szabo, Michael Davis and Brett Roberts drove to Wichita, Kansas, on September 16 for the first congregational outreach of the 2017–2018 academic year.

In Wichita, the eight students joined Western United States Regional Director Brian Davis and assistant Steven Privratsky, their families and 14 local members for Sabbath services.

“We are an older congregation, and [the students] bring extra enthusiasm to our Sabbath,” local member Dorothy Dot said.

Eames said she left Wichita feeling “refreshed and refocused.” Szabo said she was “inspired by their dedication and focus on God’s Work.”

Armstrong student body president Gino Chi plans to arrange 2-3 visits to outlying congregations per month, with about 10 students making the trip each time. Congregations within driving range for a weekend visit include Ponca City, Eufaula and Ardmore, Oklahoma; Wichita and Erie, Kansas; Fort Worth, Texas; and Fayetteville, Arkansas.
