Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986) was one of the most prominent religious leaders of the 20th century, watched, read and followed by millions worldwide. He founded the <i>Plain Truth</i> magazine, the <i>World Tomorrow</i> television program, Ambassador College and the Ambassador International Cultural Foundation. He served as pastor general of the Worldwide Church of God, and visited heads of state and addressed large audiences globally as an unofficial ambassador of world peace.
