Johannesburg Singles Host Dinner Dance
Theme: The Last Hour

SOUTH AFRICA—Members from the Johannesburg congregation of the Philadelphia Church of God gathered for a formal dinner dance on July 4.

After a potluck dinner, member and master of ceremonies Divan Muller opened the dance floor.

Couples danced to the opening strains of Strauss. The sound crew reserved dances for a variety of groups: married couples, children and singles. The children spent most of the evening dancing.

Despite the short timeframe for setup, the singles managed to bring the evening together.

“Experience gained from previous dances made it easier for us to plan and prepare for the event,” Muller said. “Everyone who attended contributed in some way to the success of the evening.”

Member Sharon Jordan said, “The event went very smoothly, and people seemed to enjoy themselves very much.”

Prospective member and first-timer Queen Ndhlovu said she really enjoyed the dance.

“We strove to reach the highest standard, to remind ourselves of the royal standards we must aim to reach in all we do,” Muller said.
